Zero-Landfill Packaging: Our HimalaSalt and Organic Peppercorns are packaged in 100% recycled, refillable, and reusable grinders and containers. They are nested in a locally produced box, made of wood that is certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, with excelsior from a sustainable tree program in the Rockies. The kit is wrapped in clear EarthFirst PLA, the only 100% certified compostable corn shrink wrap. With packaging like this, there's nothing to throw away. An important part of our company philosophy is to leave the lightest footprint. By creating the highest quality natural products and doing no harm in the process, we are reinforcing our commitment to a cleaner planet.
Carbon-Free: All of our products are made with 100% renewable wind and solar power, and are Green-e Certified. We've gone far beyond the basic requirements for certification, which is for electrical use only, and calculated, for our entire operation, what our total carbon footprint is. This includes ocean freight, trucking, packaging production, printing, land and air travel, tradeshows, marketing, it's all there. Our carbon neutral program is equivalent to planting 38 acres of trees each year, or reducing carbon emissions by 235,600 lbs annually.
Socially Conscious Ingredients Our exquisite organic artisan pink and green peppercorns are 100% Certified Organic by QAI, and Kosher Certified by Organized Kashrush. All of our HimalaSalt products are certified Kosher for Passover.
